Washington Farm to Food Pantry Study

“In 2024, SNAP-Ed funded a highly impactful research project conducted in the rural Northeast region of Washington state. The research was a photovoice project that evaluated the WA-State funded Farm to Food Pantry (F2FP) program through the voices and photos of F2FP program recipients (food bank clients). I facilitated many aspects of this SNAP-Ed funded work and directly saw how deeply it benefitted the hunger relief organization that was involved. They were able to learn– for the first time– directly from their food bank clients about how the F2FP program is being run in their region, how it is beneficial, and how it can be improved, among other things. The study resulted in 4 main findings and 6 correlated recommendations. A publication of the report can be found on WSDA’s webpage at the following link, under ‘F2FP Photovoice Study‘”
