SNAP-Ed Supports Pantries, Farmers’ Markets, and Subsidized Housing Sites

I work at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and have used nutrition information flyers created by DINE. We distribute flyers to food pantries and participants have really enjoyed the “10 Ways to Reduce Sugar Consumption.” It is also comforting to be able to recommend to people who go to food pantries to go to the Durham Farmers’ Market to use Double Bucks. The Double Bucks program seems possible because of DINE. Last, I have witnessed Nasim’s direct education for folks at a subsidized housing site. Participants learned about rinsing cans of vegetables to reduce sodium and therefore support their health goals.
