“We had planted carrot seeds at the end of the 2023-2024 school year during a SNAP-Ed lesson, and when I returned for my first lesson of the new school year, a child ran up to me with pictures of him holding the carrots that had grown from the plant. The teacher had said he’d been asking every day when I was coming so that he could show me. When I asked him how they had tasted, he responded with ‘The best carrots ever – cause I made them!‘”
