Philadelphia Public Charter School

“Independence Charter School, a public charter school in center city Philadelphia, serves 800 students (approximately 600 families) and we have had the immense benefit of having SNAP-ED as an integral part of our community. For the last several years they have shared their nutritional expertise with all our students, K-8th grade, and taught them hands-on cooking skills. In addition, SNAP-ED has provided farm trips to our students; many who have never seen a goat or a cow, or touched hay. What SNAP-ED provides is an invaluable resource for our students and families. So many would be deeply devastated and directly impacted by the loss of SNAP-ED
