“Teachers have told me that they’ve implemented the same language that I, as a SNAP-Ed nutrition educator, use when encouraging the kids to try something new like, “You took a brave bite,” or “Maybe you could just kiss it (to get the flavor on on your lips).” They’ve said that the kids start to say the same things at home and actually got their parents and siblings to try something new by encouraging them like they’ve head us do in the classroom.”
