“One day after a SNAP-Ed lesson at her school my daughter asked me if I could make her something with corn because she had it in class and said it was good. She was a big fan of the beans that she tried. Every time she came home with a taster award she would show it off very excited because she was trying and liking new things. I think the SNAP-Ed Healthy Kids Club program through Penn State University is a great thing because it gives the kids a chance to try things and not be as picky with food, and if they like it, it cheers them up and makes them excited. And even if they don’t like it at least they tried it and it gives them options to find something else or similar that they will like. Overall, it’s a nice program to have because not everyone takes their time and goes to preschool and tries to teach about new fruits and veggies to young kids. It’s a great program to have.“
