Nutrition and Garden Participant

SNAP Ed benefits me as someone dealing with mental health issues and being a resident at one of the sites where SNAP Ed provides nutrition and community garden work. The garden helps with my mental health, gives me a sense of purpose and belonging, and teaches me both nutritional values and work skills. I know how to garden and landscape better now than I did before. I have more skills for potential employment in the future. Without SNAP Ed’s benefits I would be very depressed.”
