Mental Health Center in Ohio
“I work for Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center and on Wednesday, our afternoon group of clients who reside in the community that has their own housing are being taught how to cook healthy meals, how to read labels, how to plant a garden, being able to actively shown how to make healthy meals and being able to contribute in making the healthy meals. This has been such an asset for our disabled clients who are able to be independent. SNAP-Ed has been a wonderful tool for our clients to remain independent. It would be very sad if this program did not exist any longer.
This program we have seen so much good this program has for our clients who are independent. These people need extra help in order what to shop for, how to make, how to read labels and recognize how fruits and vegetables are healthy to help put more quality in their lives by just being able to know they can do something positive for themselves.”
