Lincoln Public Schools Educator

“I oversee curriculum and instruction in the Lincoln Public Schools Health Education programming. We have partnered with local SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators over the past decade to provide incredible Nutrition Education to over 18,000 students annually at grades K-5. The funding provided through SNAP-Ed allows the scope of our instruction to reach all students in our community and district of over 42,000 students and we have felt it so valuable we include dedicated instructional time at every grade level in Elementary Schools. This program is vital to educate our students about their healthy decision making and a deep understanding of where our food comes and how their food choices can be made to promote health and wellness.
