Head Start Early Childcare Program
“SNAP Ed educators partner with our Head Start program. They visit to provide interactive lessons and summer gardening with preschool children, as well as free sample days with families. Our children, families, and staff absolutely LOVE our SNAP Ed teachers. The feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Parents have said their child is not only willing to, but asking to try new and healthy foods. Staff can continue the learning by talking about healthy choices at mealtimes during the school day. It has been very impactful and beneficial to our program!”
