
Adults Discover New Favorite Snack: Bok Choy!
“I delivered a six-week adult series at Help Network. My second lesson was on eating a variety of fruits and vegetables. In the session we discussed how the different colors benefit our bodies: Red-protect against cancer and infections, white/tan are high in antioxidants…The participants got to taste a diverse selection of fruits and vegetables. Bok choy, pomegranate, blue/black berries, peppers, and bananas. During the transition portion of the class, I asked if anyone tried any new fruits or vegetables this week. One attendee mentioned “I bought some of that Bok choy” “I love it it’s my new favorite snack!” “I had never had it before” Someone else in class mentioned that he really liked it too.“
