I just completed the 6 week class for help with my diabetes management.

I was introduced to foods unknown to me before. I learned how to cook in a healthier manner. The classes also introduced me to reading labels, controlling my intake, and increased my knowledge of how certain foods are helpful in controlling my Diabetes.

My Blood A1C decreased from 8.1 to 7.5.( which is still higher than normal) but is on the way to being healthier.

I have learned that while eating is necessary, it can be used to improve my health by the choices I make.

This program is much needed for the education, cooking experiences and the community sharing. It really helps to have in person interaction along with the knowledge that you are not alone in the struggle.

I would recommend this type of class to anyone, because it has really helped me.
