PreK Students Explore Cabbage

“Our Claysburg PreK Counts classroom recently participated in a Healthy Kids Club lesson where the children got hands-on with cabbage! They explored its texture, smell, and taste, wrapping up the experience with a delicious food tasting of coleslaw. This engaging activity is a part of the partnership between Child Advocates of Blair Count (CABC) and Penn State Center for Childhood Obesity Research (CCOR) at Penn State University. Through CCOR’s Healthy Kids Club, funded by PA SNAP-Ed, our kiddos are diving into fun, evidence-based lessons that promote better nutrition and physical activity. A big thanks to Miss Allie for helping our little ones grow heathy habits that last a lifetime!
