Head Start Partnership
“Partnering for Healthy Futures: We’re proud to highlight the partnership between Blair County Head Start and the Center for Childhood Obesity Research (CCOR) at Penn State. Through CCOR’s Healthy Kids Club, funded by PA SNAP-Ed, our children are engaging in fun, evidence-based lessons designed to improve nutrition and physical activity. The program brings healthy food tastings, interactive lessons, and books into our classrooms, teaching kids about the importance of balanced eating and staying active. Recently our friends at the Greenwood location had a blast during their Healthy Kids Club lesson and enjoyed some delicious, healthy bites. This amazing program helps to build healthy habits for life.”
